Most definitely.
Strike action being voted on, RMT workers taking industrial action, barristers, postal workers, doctors and I’m just reading the West & East Midlands Ambulance Service are too.
Shame Mrs Flip Flop didn’t make them a priority in the fiscal event instead of bankers and the rich?
She’s going to have a head-spin by mid November.
Where have you seen these "promises"?
back to 70s Labour - BLISS !!!
Maybe there should be a General Strike al la 1920s then Steer Calmer can come in in and sort it all out. Yeah right.
keeping to the OP's question, relating to power cuts, etc. not sure what a labour government could do under the prevailing circumstances - capping banker's bonuses and windfall taxing energy companies isn't going to magic gas out of thin air. doesn't matter who's in power. if the russians switch off their supply, then power cuts is the inevitable outcome. not just in Britain but all over Europe. and the 3 day week will follow that.
UK doesn't get Russian gas as I understand it.
One could be forgiven for thinking that the blue team supporters are somewhere between a huff and a massive strop as they struggle with what they've created.

Reality bites.
// UK doesn't get Russian gas as I understand it. //

almost, just a few percent. but I don't imagine Norway are going to let Britain say "eff you Jack we're alright" to the rest of Europe. what alternative supplies there are will be shared out. shortages are inevitable.
So theanswer isaybe but hope not. ...and it'll be same across all Europe not just uk ... si would effect you gulliver whether your in Hull or Spain or cyprus
Says a lot for our set of values that bankers are so well rewarded while
carers, for example, earn so little.
// while carers, for example, earn so little. //

will paying carers a fairer wage magic gas out of thin air?
not the brightest sparks in Norfolk!
Mushroom,

Might help them to afford it though when it's available.

We need the best bankers, carers, nurses ect jdavis. If banking so easy &overpaid though why don't more people try it instead of shop work, nursing, being carers.
bobbin,

Not saying all bankers are overpaid, certainly not those on the shop floor. But can you not see the unfairness of the current system?
And what happens when they get it wrong? We have to bail them out.
