Internet shopping - no goods - what can I do?

I purchased some DVDs from a site on the internet, the money was taken out of my account over a month ago but not received any goods. I've mailed the company but had no replies. There is no phone number or address which I believe is illegal anyway. What action if any, can I take? Is there some kind of Internet Trading Standards I can report them to?

Ignore my question - just received an email from the company saying goods have just been sent (after I threatened taking it further)

Just for future reference:

  1. Always make sure that you have full contact details for anyone you shop from.

  2. If you purchase using a credit (as opposed to debit) card, your credit card provider should be able to offer you protection as well (more so if the goods cost over 100)

  3. Your local trading standards are your best bet
Only buy from site that appear real, give you the padlock icon when paying for goods, and ideally from a site that you know others use:

play.com - CDs, DVDs, etc.
amazon.co.uk - books, electronics, etc.
kelkoo.co.uk - shopping search site; only searches reputable online shops.

Thanks for the extra advice, I did find some more information on "Distance Selling" thanks to a previous post on this site, another top tip - pages where you enter credit/debit card information; don't just look for a padlock, make sure the URL starts https://...
