From the manual:

Press Menu > Phonebook.
Select a contact, then press Options.
Select Edit.
Delete with Clear.
Press Save when done.

Menu > phonebook > contact to delete then scroll down options to "delete". Note that "delete" is not visible until you scroll downwards.

Follow the instructions above but, after Options, select Top 10 to set the entry as one of the first 10 contacts listed in the phonebook.

Chris, I managed to delete the name, tried deleting the phone number, then Save, said ‘No name/no’ and wouldn’t delete the number ! Also you have to pay for the brochure with the link. Bhg Tried Menu Phonebook Contact Options …. There is Edit Add Call etc but no Delete option.

smurf - when you bring up the Options menu you have to "Down arrow" and, eventually, "delete" will appear. It's off the bottom of the 1st page of Options.
