morning all, its too early to say what the weather is doing - but the forecast isn't all that good, its still cold, so i am still wearing warm clothing, where has spring gone i wonder.

I also see that we have gone into a yellow storm warning for tomorrow into Tuesday, this 'tempete' cranking up from 11am onwards with gusts up to 55. There goes all the bluebell visitors and there were plenty of those around yesterday, the gardens theoretically open for 9 consecutive days. I had a look at the fields yesterday and there was only the slightest sheen of them what with the cold weather holding them back though the ones under the trees are showing. No wonder, they were offering as to the entry fee a 25% discount at the gate! There's also been a spate of eating places open up inc. an unusual coffee bar off the back of a motorbike run by two very nice Weegies.

Glasgow, hard and dour, tenement blocks, heavy drinkers, Billy Connolly style humour and you learn about probability on a Saturday night when, with a skinful, you feel a knife in your back and 'Who der yer support then, Jimmie? Now Edinburgh is very different, much more twee, beautiful buildings when they get cleaned up of all the grime from Waverley et all, the city full of 'wee Mary' who would never touch the amber liquid in a month of Sundays - and the Presbyterian Church dominates life.
What would be the ideal situation would be to have the Weegies living in Edinburgh.
How long would this last? Answer - to the first Saturday night.
