Any Ipad Experts??

I was bought a brand new iPad for Xmas but it won’t mute lol. Well, what I mean is I press volume button as low as it will go till it comes up as mute on the screen, and it works for everything apart from FB. it mutes all apps, games etc but still pings whenever I get a FB notification or message. I’ve Googled it and tried a few things it’s suggested but none have worked. Any ideas??

And email apparently so I’ve just found - it makes sounds for that too.

Sometimes an app will have its own sound. You have to turn that off.

All apps have been muted - it’s just FB and email and I cannot see how on earth to individually mute those.

"Dismiss, clear, and manage notifications

From the Lock screen, do any of the following:

Handle a notification you receive while using another app: Pull it down to view it, then swipe up to dismiss it.

Clear notifications:  Swipe left over the notification or group, then tap Clear or Clear All.

Send notifications directly to Notification Center: Swipe left over the notification or group of notifications, tap Manage, then tap Deliver Quietly. This prevents these notifications from appearing on the Lock screen, playing a sound, lighting up the screen, or presenting a banner.

To see and hear these notifications again, swipe left on a notification in Notification Center, tap Manage, then tap Deliver Prominently.

I know nothing about Ipad, but my smartphone has a separate sound level for "Notifications" ie, the sound to tell you a message has arrived. Is the Ipad similar?

Bhg - no I don’t think it does. It’s driving me mad!

try Settings/sounds enable Lock Sounds or lower volume @ Ringer and Alerts

my phone is the same - all apps are muted, however, I still get pinged with every messenger message (not an iPhone)
