It tells me to highlight the text and then to keep pressure on the touch panel and a menu will pop up giving one a choice of options.

Mine doesn't only a choice to share with Twitter, Email etc.

I don't get a "menu". Just highlight then ctrl&C to copy, ctrl&V to paste.

Thanks for your answers but I've decided to connect a small mouse much easier I never did like those touch pads.

Wise move AOG, the touchpad is a menace.

Remember to disable your touchpad when you are using a mouse. If you don't you can find both devices working at the same time.
