Usually because a thread has gone off the rails with insults etc. but there is enough useful stuff in there to be of interest.

More often than not a mod.
I thought mods could zap posts, but not close whole threads. I could be wrong though.
On Answerbank we live in a twilight zone.

Why use the word 'endorsement'?

Endorsement, approval, what would you like me to put?
Because it's a cool word to use when passing blame.

Haven't you used it before?
I get the impression that mods don't need anyone's endorsement to close threads. Often threads are closed, presumably by mods, at night only to be re-opened when the Eds start work in the morning.

No socks today spath it’s a scorcher here today,have had a lovely walk along the sea front back for a coffee and sitting on the rooms balcony enjoying the sun,can’t do to much as the wife gets tired quickly ,hope you are well.
