I doubt that your GP would issue a double prescription on the off chance that there will be a shortage of medical supplies.
It's always worth asking regardless, if you pay for prescriptions. But it depends on how dangerous overdoses are as to how willing they'd be.
I keep a full two months supply in hand at any given time. My inhaler comes from the Netherlands, I could revert to a different one but this is better.
Only a double prescription? Listening to all the ridiculous scaremongering propaganda the Remainers are coming up with, I'd go for at least 10 years worth if I were you - and since the UK is home to some rather large drug producers, I'd advise all Europeans to do likewise.
Yep, also get some tuna, some vinegar (to preserve your meat), some salt, some gherkins, some carrots in tins, spam, corned beef.. you know, and a shovel, in case the leccie goes out and you need to bury them all to keep them cold.

Naomi, I'm aware that securing my supply might deprive someone else of theirs. That's why I only thought of a double script.
rowanwitch, that's amazing. My clinic keeps a record on their computer when the next prescription is due. If you ask for it too early they refuse to give it. Last year I was going on holiday and my tablets would run out during that time so I asked for an early prescription, it was only given to me after explaining about the holiday.
I get a thing called a medical certificate and I’m able to get 6 months worth in one go.
(A month being a 4 week month).
We used to do this for when I was in Switzerland and we only came back to uk once every 3 months for a week during 3 years being away.
Of course taking more than a months worth of prescriptions drugs into Switzerland was not allowed ....but never got stopped at airport once.
Did when we drove back from uk once , but when I faked no Swiss German to bored guard he couldn’t be bothered to speak English and waved us on having asked in Swiss German if we had anything to declare such as meat etc lol
I plan on asking for extra inhalers. I'm due for new ones anyway, but I think it's prudent to have backups.
Spath, you can take all your tinned food out of the fridge. ;)
You're all heart, sandyRoe.
I don't believe you would be the only person who has given that some thought Sandy .
We're all doomed anyway.
I get extra meds when I know that I am going to be away longer than what I have sufficient meds for. I just write a note explaining my reason and attach it to my repeat prescription and I've never been refused yet.
It's good that you're all heart Sandy.

Makes up for those that aren't.
Double prescriptions will only be issued when Brexit is confirmed which isn't going to happen.
I'd try to keep calm and carry on until the 17.2 million find something else to chunter on about and this all fades into history. :-)
I was prescribed one spare at the beginning and a mix up with two pharmacies both ordering repeats meant at one point I was nearly four months in hand. I ran it back down to two months and keep it at that. With an elderly mother I am aware I could end up away from home at short notice.
// I'd go for at least 10 years worth if I were you //
nice to see those who are well have preserv ed their sense of humour - this is what makes AB

I would - remember D Day is not until Mar 19.
I keep at least a month in advance
Do you have EPS ? for our surgery - you go onto the repeat prescription site and just press 'order'.

Of your droogs there are some "must haves" and some "would likes". build up decent stocks of the must haves ( in my case - septrin and rivarozaban
christ sandie some of the usual suspects really letting rip with their senses of humour !
