The audio frequency range of FM radio transmissions is from 20Hz to 15kHz. The upper frequency limit is lower than for most other Hi-Fi items and is due to compromises made when the FM stereo transmission system was invented. The stereo information is carried on a 19kHz pilot tone which has to be filtered out by the receiver, resulting in the 15kHz upper frequency limit.
