you need a dvd burner. a lot of cd writers now have the ability to write to dvd. if you do have a dvd writer, then you need to find out if your dvd player can play dvd-r's. if so, you also need to find out what format of dvd your player can read. there are 3 main formats. vcd, svcd and divx. you should have been able to choose the format when you recorded from your tv. if you have allready recorded in a format that is not compatible with your player, you can use software programs to convert from one type to another. i use 'nero'. you can use a burning program to write the file to the dvd-r in whatever format you like if you have one, or you can (assuming you use windows) go to the 'my computer' icon on your desktop, open the cd writer drive and drag and drop the file into the open window. go to file, and click on write to disc. the second option assumes that the file was recorded in a format that is compatible with your dvd player as you have no options to change it.
