The Boot On My Mk 5 Golf Won't Open With The Remote Key

Hi, i have a Mark 5 Golf, the boot won't unlock with the other doors when I use the remote key fob, as this is the only way to unlock the boot i have no access to it, all the other doors unlock except for the boot, does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how it can be fixed? Many Thanks :-)

Check the wires in the boot latch,
Check the connecting Rod within the door,
If not the above, check the Actuator these can be bought off ebay.

That won't be easy TWR, if the boot can't be opened.

If the boot has a catch, try opening it a few times WHILST activating and de-activating the remote control. Something may have got stuck.
