Tv Programme Guide Problems.

At midnight GMT and 1am BST programme titles go missing on my TV on screen guide.
For about 10 minutes the remote will not select channels or move around on the TV guide. I had a new aerial fitted today and was told it would solve the problem.
Has anybody come across this or know a solution?

No. Sounds like a TV electronic guide malfunction to me. Although it seems weird it effects the remote control, can only assume that the guide is ignoring it. Can you use the remote to still change channels when not in the guide ?

Can't imagine what an aerial change was supposed to do. Aerials don't normally exhibit time related malfunctions.

Does turning the TV off and on to reset the guide help ? If it's still under warranty take it back for replacement/repair.
PS details of your TV model might help folk know if they have experience of your TV.
Is there any chance its a reboot time that they use to freshen up or update the channels / programme listings - you hear the Sky box doing that in the background quite often even when on standby.
I'd be surprised if the aerial makes any difference. TV Guides usually give programmes for the next 7 days so at some point they have to update. They will choose a time of day when "no-one" is using the guide and re-build it with the next 7 days' programmes.
you need to retune..

Thanks for the suggestions. The TV is an oldish 36" Samsung. I changed the aerial because I thought the single was weak. When the guide freezes and I use the remote, the light flashes on the TV so I know the remote is connecting. If I close the guide the channels still won't change with the remote.
