Hello All,

I have various programs and games on my PC, which do not have a uninstaller with them (for whatever unknown reasons)  I have tried reinstalling them, but there is still no oprion to uninstall.

I have also checked the add/remove programs to see if i could uninstall from here, but the programs do not show up, even though they are fully functioning.

Any advice on deleting/uninstalling these 'ghost' programs?  I dont want to go around randomly deleting folders, and leaving crap on my system.

Cheers

Have you tried "Start\My Computer\C:\Program Files\"  and seeing if you can delete them there?
P.S.  Right click on the game icon \Properties\  to find out where the program is situated.  Then go there and delete.

I know where the folders are stored on my PC, so I could delete them that way.  My main worry is leaving trails, incorrect registry entries etc.

Basically, is it safe to just delete the folder.

Even programs you've properly uninstalled often leave trials on Windows, sadly.

Can you give an example or two of these "ghost" programs?
Try a specialist uninstaller program. This one's free (and it's only a small download):
http://www.freeware-alternative.uni.cc/downloads/easy-un insataller/free-software-easy-uninstaller.html

If that one doesn't work, there are plenty of others available. (Just go to a decent download site like http://www.tucows.com and type in 'unistaller').
