Windows 10 Icon On The Taskbar

Is there any way to remove this upgrade icon without installing Windows 10?

Many thanks Murrymints have tried this many times over the last month all i get when I run the trouble shooter is need more time to check eligibility. I am on windows 7 with service pack1 genuine windows home just given up such a shame everyone I know seem very happy wit windows10.

Hello Fairfax. I have the same set up as you and had the same problem, going to windows updates and downloading everything available (twice)sorted it for me. Hope it helps.
