how do i d/load contact details on desktop to c.d. so i can install the details on my new lap top?

In Outlook Express bring up your Address Book. Then go to File/Export/Address Book(WAB) and save them into your Documents folder.

From here you can copy them to any type of portable media you wish and reverse the process on your laptop, but this time you will obviously Import the information.
