I'm sure many were old enough to be aware of MS at the time, but may not have been interested enough to visit the site. After all, it's no AB.
I didn't even get my first touch of a PC until around 2003 (Windows 98 se), now I can happily build them and mess about in the OS and settings.
We had our first computer, a beeb micro around 1982. Towards the end of my time in the NHS, I had had a computer since before most of the folks in the IT dept were born.
That brings it back! Very occasionally, I miss not having MS DOS, excluded from Microsoft's more recent operating systems.

Those of you old enough to remember might recall the statement that the WWW was something which few civlians would need, and there might possibly be siz web-linked computers in any one country........

I've had a computer since 1992, when I was typing essays on Wordstar 2000 but I don't recall seeing that.
