I'm going to be a sophomore in college in a couple of months and i want to switch around my first name and middle name legally. I know I have to go to the ss office and i also know that i have to apply for a new fafsa pin but how does the government loan work? do i have to apply for it again?

You've posted on a UK website, so it's highly unlikely that anywhere here will know the technicalities of US state and federal legislation. (I've assumed that you're in the USA because the word 'sophomore' isn't used in British English and I've never heard of a 'fifsa pin').

and I wouldnt change your name as well.

One of my father's doc was wrong ( exchanged in the way you say ) and this was a source of continued anxiety - in 1936 ! It wasnt as tho his name was John John Brown either......

and dont change your surname - one of your relations got a Nobel for Economics didnt he? [ showed that any normal market and trades was in fact closed ]
