The files don't move. The shortcut to them is put in the Recycle bin and even when you empty it the files are still in the same place till you overwrite them. You can find them with an undelete program till they are overwritten.

The pill box ?

Sorry couldn't resist. Don't really know but would suspect it depends on what operating system your tablet uses. After all the recycle bin is recognisable from MS Windows, although other OSs have equivalents. Does the user manual say ?

even on a PC they don't "go" anywhere, the space they use is just made reusable.
Whilst the data doesn't move the pointers used to find the file data on the disk are altered so the file appears in a different folder/directory. Be it the trash directory or wherever. To anyone outside the system, it's 'moved'.
