Text Document Contents Search Software For Ext Hard Drives

im looking for some software that will search through the text of documents, based on a keyword.
i have noticed that when i search through an external hard drive it only seems to search for titles, rather than by contents, like it does when its searching the comp hard drive.

thanks methyl - it actually already has that enabled - i didnt do it myself, it must have been the default

what will happen if i use it in other machines?
i rarely use it with another computer, but i possibly will at some point - should i enable and disable it as and when i do?

If you select ‘use advanced search options’, does that not give you the option of searching for a word or phrase within documents?
