Email On Iphone 4

My settings for email on iPhone has gone wrong, I can only receive but cannot reply anymore. I am using Hotmail server.

So in Settings-Mail,Contact, Calendars - Mail (my email) - incoming mail server is pop3.live.com (which works fine), but if i go into Outgoing Mail Server SMTP - Host Name is smtp.live.com (seems to be the problem).

Is all this right ? I get errors saying the Outgoing Mail Server is wrong.

Please help !!

Are you using SMTP port: 587?

its port 25 as it says this in Primary server - smtp.live.com (on)

Are right i was on Windows Live Hotmail. I had a similar problem last week with a relatives phone. We solved it after we stopped user the full Hotmail account. Yet that was what we were told. We just the user name and that worked.

You could try SMTP port: 465

I tried to change to 465 but its stuck on verifying

but you seem to have done the same.

If I try to send emails i get the message - Cannot Send Mail. The username or password for SMTP: email [email protected] is correct.

Have you tried deleting and re adding the account to the iPhone? It has been known to work.
