Kobo Arc

I want to download from iplayer onto my Kobo Arc. When I look at iplayer on my computer, I get the download option, but I can't see it on the Kobo. Can anyone help? Thanks

bbc iplayer has it's own android app for the arc, itv isn't compatable yet

you don't need to download it from your computer, the arc is wi fi and you can download the iplayer app from the getapps icon.

I want to download it straight to the Arc, and then watch it later, but can't find anything to let me download it. So I compared it with my computer and that has a download option. The Arc will let me watch it now.
I used the icon from the home page on the arc, do I need to download the app?

Have you got in to the Google Play Store on it? That is where you download the iPlayer app

I have downloaded the iplayer app from the 'get apps' icon. I can watch a programme on iplayer, i just don't have the option to downlaod it for later.

Ah. Now I understand the problem properly. Is it a particular programme that won't download or all programmes?

Well, I haven't tried ALL the programmes that are on there, but I've looked at a few to see if I could find any that would!

I have just found out that the Kobo tablets don't support Digital Rights Management (DRM) and because of that you cannot download programmes from iPlayer.

This recent article highlights the problem and shows that both Kobo and Kindle can't download those programmes

I was not aware of such problems as my tablet is the Nexus 7 and will download programmes from iPlayer.

If you want to watch ITV programs then the STV player works just fine - most of the programs are the same. All you need is a Scottish postcode and I'm sure that you can fins the address if STV in Glasgow and "borrow" that...
