Search for "Open Office" - a free alternative to MS Office and has equivalent programs eg, "impress" is the equivalent of "Powerpoint" and "writer" is the equivalent of "Word". All parts are compatible with the Microsoft equivalent - in other words you can read Word documents with it and Word can read Write documents.
If you really have to have the Microsoft version make sure you buy the "student" edition - much cheaper.
