Sony Xperia S - Deleting Part Of Conversations

Can I delete part of a conversation on myphone without having to delete every message one by one?

I'm fairly sure you can only delete the whole conversation, or delete one at a time. I don't think you can do part of a conversation at a time. I've just been checking on my Xperia S and I can't see anyway to do it ...... but some clever sod might come on and show us how it's done .........
