Is it just me ..but my computer keeps freezing whilst using Answerbank.
Tells me at bottom of window to "Recover web page",by clicking on box.
Which I duly do,only for it to happen again,a minute later.

Which browser do you use, I am using Google Chrome and am having no problems at the moment.
I am using I E 9 and I have noticed the same problem, but then again it is a whole new system I am using so it could be me.
Happened with me a lot yesterday using IE 9 - OK so far today
Yep kloofnek, happening to me too. I'm on IE9. There is something about IE9 which doesn't get on with AB, but I'm not prepared to change to Google Chrome, I trust the security on IE9, not Google.
You're speaking to deaf ears. It's IE9 and AB and has been going on for months. What's the worry about Chrome security boxy?
It's happening a lot which it why I raised it with the Ed on the link I've given. If you read that you'll see several people are having the same problem.
It's like lightning on my iPad.
Prudie, this is what methyl says on that other thread

"There is considerable pressure on this site to change your browser to Google Chrome. I will not do this because Google Chrome is much less secure than Microsoft Internet Explorer has no facility to disable sh*te plug-ins such as Macromedia Flash.
"Would you trust Google with your personal browsing history? I would not because Google ignore privay laws and do whatever they like."
Oh dear. For me it was either switch to Chrome or give up AB. I was getting 'recover webpage' up to a 100 times a weekend, the site became almost unusable.
It's the inability to type which is driving me mad - Ed reckons it's something to do with certain adverts, it's OK this morning, but at other times the keyboard strikes just don't show up on the screen :-(
Use Chrome, you know it makes sense !
Don't use Chrome, you know it doesn't make sense!
LOL, carry on freezing up then.
LOL - waiting for Ed and his woggling stick to fix IE9
Just clear your recent history & cache....you've possibly caught a virus
Norton is on constant patrol in our house, no viruses here!
Firefox is free of freeze-ups.

WOW...what a lt of replies.
I mostly use IE9, but do have Chrome...which I don`t particularly like for tech.reasons.
Glad it is not just me having the "freezing"problem.
Must add,it has not just been on this website, but at the moment it is.

I have put the problem on here before, then it seemed to be OK after I defragmented etc.

Would it be OK to o back to IE8?
