I have been given some DVDs which contain some very old photographs in a slide show format, one with music.

Each one loads with CyberLink DVD Suite.

Is there any way that I can extract the photos into single static images, so that I can print them out?

Also I notice that if I try to change them to play via 'Windows player' they do not work, why is this?

I used this program some years back and I seem to recall it had a snapshot feature.

if its not there now you could stop the playback and take a screenshot Alt+PrntScreen, then paste the pic into something like Paint.net or GIMP both free, and edit and save them.
