from cambridge. always an expensive trip when taking the god-daughters and their parents (my closest friends):- hot-dogs .. ice creams .. coffee stop .. lunch .. ice creams .. shopping for clothes, more clothes, more clothes and of course, clothes.. ice creams .. pint in the pub garden (not to mention the round trip bus fares)

Sounds lovely! I had a girly day with my mum, coffee, shopping, lunch and then coffee with a friend. Glad to be in out the heat now though as really tired and gone a bit swollen - my arthritis doesn't appreciate the weather! Was meant to be at a Eurovision party tonight but am too tired, early one for me I think.

Hi excelsior We (2 couples in 60s) are stopping off in Cambridge on the way back from holiday in June - any suggestions as to what not to miss - apart from shopping which for me is a must!!

granny.. depending on when it is .. there may be something happening on mid-summer common. there are a lot of events during the summer. if not, it is at least a pleasant walk .... or, if you want - you can take a trip on the river in a chauffered punt. the girls loved it last year.
