Going to new york in dec on a budget this time, been looking at accom in long island, brooklyn. and round about areas. Would be grateful for any info bout other places to stay where we can use the subway to get about, thanks

the centre isn't too expensive Tizzy and you are right there for everything, the subway, theatre and all of the landmarks, we stayed in the Milford Laza just off Broadway

Well if you say so:) just going on to the laza just now, methinks it still be out our budget, was going to wait till next year and save up some more but just love NY so to hell with it Had to work out what btw was not very good on comp ( too old)) Thanks for info(

I have stayed at the Milford Plaza aswell, it's very central (just one block from Times Square). I wouldn't recommend the Pennsylvania Hotel. It's cheaper than the Milford Plaza, but not half as nice.
