god it's awful isnt it????
i have had it for 2 days and am about ready to throw the lappy through the window!
... And then download and install Mozilla Firefox 4.
Question Author
I had Mozilla in an old PC some years back..didn`t like it at all.

MarkRae...went to the link..many thanks...but will it automatically reinstall IE8???

Yes,bednobs...it is damned awful!!!!!!

People talk about Firefox...what is so great about it??...not that I intend to install it.
I'm glad it's not just me, I know they say that IE9 is more secure, but I really don't like it.
I'm on my second day with IE9 and I'm not sure yet............
Firefox is very flexible .. has more support than anything else around .. with lots of add-ons and is pretty easily fixable .. and back-up friendly ... and fast.
Also .. it's not made/shared by Google who want to control the world (after MS)
Found your favourites yet, craft...?
why did they change the sides of the favourites???????

Going to the link will do nothing - you need to follow the instructions when you get there which will tell you how to uninstall IE9. IE8 won't need to be reinstalled, as it's already part of the operating system. Once you remove IE9, the machine will revert to using IE8 unless you install another browser, which you most definitely should.

Yes,I do realise I have to follow the instructions,MarkRae,
you say I should install another browser, why and.which do you recommend?...a
The one I recommended in my first reply to your thread...
I found everything boxy...........not sure I like the favourites at the other side though. I'm not having any problems with it running slow yet.........

Thanks MarkRae..you have been a great help.

I uninstalled IE9,now I have come to do my Windows update and the update is IE9,says important to install it...do I really have to...just got rid as I hate it..????????
Like most of the new generation Microsoft products, IE9 is different enough to create a learning curve. Office 2007 was widely bagged by some but those who took the time to adapt would never ever want to go back.
I quite like IE9, I feel it really "gets out of the way" of the browsing experience.

Chrome is good too though.

All the best,

Spare
I hate IE9, it is a total nightmare

How I agree with you..messed up my PC no end.Have gone back to IE8 although Windows Update keeps wanting to put it back....no way do I wnat it again!!!!
Right-click the IE9 update and select Hide - it should bother you no longer...
