My wife has just signed up for twitter and is disappointed to find that it gives out your true name beside your username, is there a way to hide this with settings within twitter. If not then how they not find it easier to trace the person who shopped a certain footballer recently.

Just remove your real name.
Sorry, you can't remove it... change it to something that doesn't matter

Thanks Chuck. Can I change it within there settings or do I have to open up another account for her
You can change it, just click the link above and log in (if needed)

I done the same thing when I set my account up and it displayed my full name so I changed it to just say Mark.
