Privacy On Twitter Question

I'm terribly confused with Twitter. I set my profile to private where only my subscribers to see my tweets just to see how it works. My question is, when I reply to a tweet, can the author of the tweet see it? The statistics says my tweets had been viewed by two people, how can they see it and who would they be?

I hope this makes sense.

Thank you!!
