I need to order an SD memory card for my camera, looking at them on "memory bits" website the best value one seems to be the 4GB option but it seems they want to know f I want a Class 2 or Class 4 they are the same price but what is the difference? the one I have taken out of the camera does not tell you what class it is.

If you look on the camera maker's web site it might tell you what your model needs. It probably has this info in the manual as well.
It's the speed of the card, class two can write and read at 16Mb/s and a class 4 at 32Mb/s

Get the fastest one, it will work at a slower speed but the slower one won't work at a faster speed.

Just a note, a 4GB card is NOT a SD card, it is a SDHC card so double check your camera will take SDHC cards.

thanks both for your answers, but chuckfickens that begs the question whats the difference between an SD card & a SDHC card?
"whats the difference between an SD card & a SDHC"
The maximum size of an SD is 2GB. To achieve the higher capacity of the SDHC, necessitated a design change. Naturally, cameras designed before the SDHC format came into being cannot work with the different design.

Thanks rojash, I will have to try and find the camera handbook to see if it will take HDSC.
Or post the camera make and model.
