Am having such difficulty putting my digital photos from camera (fuji finepix A340) to my computer windows XP.  Have done everything in the instruction book and have even hired a man which cost 60 to show me, he did it ok but I haven't got a clue - mine just will not download from camera.  Anyone know an easy way?

Are you relying just on your batteries to download netibiza, if so this may be the problem? You must make sure they are fully charged before downloading as the process uses a lot of power.

We found the answer by buying a transformer (not cheap but worth it!) to run from camera to computer  ensuring a steady and stable supply.

If this is not your problem come back and I ( or someone else) will take you through the process step by step.

Buy a USB card reader for about 10

Have tried both batteries and electricity 3v but nothing happens.  My friend justs plugs into her usb and no clicking on any programme and there are the photos revealed - why is mine so difficult.  I admit I'm not very clever at all this even begun to wonder if somethings amiss in the computer, but as previously said a man was able to download onto it.  What prog should I be using if any.  And what is a usb card reader and how would that help me?

Does your camera appear as an external drive in My Computer?  If it does then double clock on the external drive and there should be folder(s) with your photos inside.  Simply drag them across to where you want saved.

If you camera requires a special program to do then above then please describe the interface.

A USB card reader is a device which plugs into a USB socket of your PC. You load the memory card into it and the pix are downloaded into My Pictures in your Docuements folder. kebabmeister can't find any mention of it in my computer and when the chap did it it was on an F drive? What is an interface - sorry an really ignorant re all this

I found instruction book very complicated.  Now all I do is switch camera on, computer makes "bing bong" sound.  Open my computer, there should be a "fine pix" symbol, double click on this to open page.  Move picteres to My Pictures on XP. Good Luck.

FinePix can be complicated. I assume when you plug in the usb cable and attach the camera and then turn the camera on you hear a "clunk" as the XP finds the hardware? You should find a small box open on your screen saying "what do you want to do? open/browse" and you can choose the "copy pictures to a folder on my computer using microsoft scanner and camera wizard". If you choose yes it will download your pictures onto a folder in My Photographs.........failing that, try and download the FREE version of cam2pc which does all this for you. The link is   http://www.nabocorp.com/cam2pc/versions.php

I use cam2pc for all my downloads, its much easier.
