Error message on Farmville in Facebook

Playing Farmville on Facebook, home page and farm are tabbed side by side & set as home pages by default. When collecting gifts & bonuses from the live feed (home page) it crashes with the error message comes up with a cow saying "oops it looks like all the bits got lost on the way to your computer, please refresh your page". Before this happens the gold star on the right of the title bar goes white.
