Further to this question....When I try to search, with google, above the sites is a message saying 'x amount of results stored on computer'
there is a hide (which gets rid of them for one search) or an about, which tells you how to remove them altogether. when I click on this the following appears "Right-click the Desktop icon in your system tray and choose Preferences" etc.
Basically can someone please tell me what the hell "Desktop icon in your system tray" is

It seems I am searching hard drive as weel. I dont want to. I still need to know what "Desktop icon in your system tray"

On my laptop the desktop icon is amongst the various icons at the bottom left of the screen. The google one is a yellow/red/green and blue sort of circle (sorry to be so precise there!)

Right click on this icon and you will see preferences. Select and then change whatever.

I've just done it myself.
NO No - Bottom right - RIGHT !!!!
