google space

Help please.I`ve just tried to install google space as it was something I`d seen on here.I went to google typed in google space followed the links to install it and thought Id done so successfully until.........it told me to switch off pc and restart it.When I turned it on again I`d lost my BT homepage and just got the google homepage which wasn`t what I wanted to happen.So I decided to uninstall it and then get my BT page back.Sorry it`s a bit longwinded but what did I do wrong and how do I just get google space installed?Many thanks

You didn't need to uninstall it.
You just needed to navigate to your normal home page (by typing its address, or even googling it!) then:
Click tools/internet options
In the Home page section of the General tab, click the button "Use Current"
