Need some tech help

Firstly, I want to apologise about my thread last night, had a bad day etc etc, but still not right for me to be as I was. So sorry about that.. But thanks for all who cheered me up. I also have a question I posted in tech about removing info from my google bar. OK, I looked at a (naughty) site! given to me from someone at work. It was a rubbish site anyway, but cant get rid of it when I scroll down lol. Can you help me pleese

my page is set like yours im sure the only way is in your inernet opitions
the delete history
and press the mail one delete all
another box will ask you to confirm tick that
and press delete.
If that doesnt work rebot your pc

I don't want this to sound the way it probably does but...

When you typed a word into your google box and pressed enter, it was the box you then right-clicked and not the 'G' or the arrow next to the 'G' wasn't it?

If so, and you still don't get the option to clear, I'll ask a friend who may know the answer.

lol, yes techgirl I typed the word in the box. But when I right clicked on it as you suggested it just brought up the option to copy, paste etc.

When I type in a word or part of it, it brings up a suggestion list. The site i (stupidly) looked at comes about 6 down on the list.
Thanks for all your help techgirl. If you can help solve this at any time, it would be very much appreciated.

no dave, techgirl, bless her, is trying her hardest. My stupid fault for looking at a site which which full of smut, and didnt interest me in the least. Honest! Just dont want my teenage son or daughter to come across it lol

ok lets try and delete the individual entry:

Highlight the entry, and Mouse over
DO NOT CLICK SELECT OR ENTER
With the entry highlighted, press shift+delete

See if this works :-)

tried that techgirl, it deletes it. So I then tried typing the first 3 letter of the site in again and it still brought it up in suggestions drop down menu. So didnt delete it completely :(

Thats the only trouble when you look at certain pages if they say anything tell them you clicked on a link from here and got a sick web page
It really should of worked from the delete history
You no when you did a disk clean up make sure there all ticked.
Is there not some one you can trust on the here and do a remote desktop where they can do it for you from there pc

Have you tried this:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Del
Check saved form an search history
Click on �Clear Private Data�

dave, the history in my control panel is always set at never store history i.e. no days. But I still clicked clear history. At top of pc i have tools and clear private data which usually removes anything. God i sound like a right cyber perv lol. But I dont look at porn sites, really truly. Just this one site. Will follow your adivce and say it was an accidently link if kids ask. Just didnt want them to look at it, as it was a bit ummmm. graphic!

press delete all at the bottom
