Every time I launch Realplayer it tells me there is an update, when I say yes I will update it tells me there is no connection to the internet (even though I am connected) I have even tried doing it through tools/updates and it still says the same thing, no connection to the internet ... I am on broadband and I can't get rid of the thingy asking me each time, nor can I update .... any ideas anyone ???? Thanks in advance

Anything to do with popups? Are they allowed for that site?

Just a thought.

Have you blocked Realplayer thru your firewall ie preventing downloadable access?

Realplayer works just fine .. its only this silly process each time that I have to go through. I have a pop up blocker on permanently but this still gets through ?? Oh well, its a mystery.
If you get rid of the realplayer on your system and download a new one through the BBC website you should find they've stopped all this nonsence. Annoiance software now seems to be in the hands of AOL Instant Messenger!
