Don't wish the man any harm, but lets face it, nobody twisted his arm up his back to go out and clap. Bit of hypocrisy IMO given how his lot have let the NHS unravel.

Maybe the Coronavirus situation will force countries to rethink the way they do healthcare in particular. Hard to see how anyone can argue in future that basic healthcare provision, no matter how expensive it is, shouldn't be available as a matter of right regardless of means, or that Health Services shouldn't be funded beyond demand to ensure that they are more easily able to respond to sudden surges in demand.

None of this changes the fact that, on a human level, it's sad to see Johnson sick from Coronavirus, and I hope he recovers soon.

I feel sorry for him too. He's clearly unwell but doing his best to be seen to be rallying. That's what leaders do. He doesn't deserve criticism.
