Soon as I go onto AB ,pages start hanging and freezing.Has happened twice now on seperate days .No other sites are affected.Got fed up and had to use my mobile to post this

What type of device are you referring to? A Windows PC? A Mac? An Android tablet? Something else?

Which browser are you using? Internet Explorer? Edge? Chrome? Firefox? Safari? Something else?

It is more likely to be your browser than a fault at ABs end.

I am guessing you are using IE on a Windows PC. Try emptying the browser history and cache. Failing that, try another browser.

I used to have the same problem using IE. Unfortunately I can't post how I fixed it, as the answer will more than likely be removed.
Let's just say, all those pesky adverts really clogged things up and used to grind things down to a virtual halt, as they all loaded up .... not anymore though :)

Yes, it does tend to be the ADs which cause problems with this site loading. Unsurprisingly though, the Ed doesn't like it if you BLOCK them but it tends to fix the problem. (PLUS, of course, the site will load much faster).

As said above, if you are on IE then that could well be the problem. Change to Firefox or Chrome.

I am lucky, I have sorted my desktop out and it is now hit shot. The flashing images are, shall we say, a distraction. I am currently using Edge on my lappie and desktop and thinking of setting up the lappie to do the dirty. The daftest thing is, in the last couple of days I have posted answers with an Amazon link to products. I am now bombarded with ads for those very same products that someone else needs and I don't.

It is a Desktop PC and Chrome is causing the AB problem

I'd be surprised if the problem persists when you're using it.

I do Buen but you know, we all get a little lethargic. Plus on the desktop it really only makes me laugh. Yesterday I posted a link for a broadband extender and it took 20 seconds to pop up. Strangely though the Penderyn whisky link did not seem to elicit a response at all.
