Does anyone know if PayPal is down ?
I've ordered things on line today from two different sources and I usually get an email straight away to confirm my purchase but I've had nothing .
The transactions went through according to my account .

Aw ..don't be lonely Neti .
I've been raking around the internet looking for a dress to wear .Can't honestly remember the last time I wore a dress but it's my brother's diamond wedding in December and they're having a do at an hotel ,sit down dinner then evening buffet and I can't turn up in trousers and I doubt very much my bridesmaids dress would fit me now ...lol.
Do you have a Debenham nearby? I have twice found dresses there. I favour Collection. Mind you I've had to look a while. I got a lovely long blk one with blk/white loose waist top in Twenty one for £20. Price suits me as I won't wear it often but looks smart and slimming.
Question Author
You must be telepathic Neti .We were just talking about going to Debenhams tomorrow. I've found a couple in there I like and Mr S has found a herringbone jacket so we'll have a look see.
I don't really want to pay a lot as who knows when I'll wear it again .

Quiet day at the office .Have found a dress in M&S.Forty quid .That'll do.
I have clicked to collect.
Night all.

Morning all. Hija still out at Cocoon closing party from last night. Mexico says not sinuses but there us a bug of mucus do am on anti bios yet again. Will have to.to insist on seeing a specialist I think. 2 yrs is long enough to be passed from pillar to post. Kept asking if I had fever! I'm not ill for heavens sake! Wish they'd sort it!
Tried to nip in to get a hair cuut without appointment but no luck.
Overcast but sweaty here.
Where is everybody?
Link to dress please shaneystar!
A'noon.. another glorious day here. I hope all's well in here, I was busy yesterday with sis and b-i-l.
Ozzy's away in the land of chocolate and smurfs 'til the weekend to spend £millions...not his own :) And Tarquin's going too for a couple of days for the same reason. Good thing I taught them how to shop. They're like bookends, they both do a similar job but on opposite sides of the world.

I'm sure you'll feel fab in a a new frock shaney, very glam. As far as I know there are no occasions planned for this year and I couldn't possibly foist my stikky legs on the public. I'd have to go maxi or some nice soft drape trousers with a matching top so it looked like a jump suit....I love jumpsuits but they're a pain to go to the loo in.
I think I'll take my Bunty and sit outside a while before the sun goes off the back.
How does Robi know it's very glam? Can she see it? I want to see it!
Hello folks, took Sis to the coach station this morning. We had a stonker of a time, got loads of stuff done, shopped tons and went out in the lovely weather. She also dog sat while I went out with my friend down the road. She now goes off on hols to the US then back to me in november.

Hi all
Been to town to get Mr S a jacket .......hmm .He seems to think he's still the size he was when he was 30.Well he isn't but he won't be told .He also can't distinguish between the colours ( I think I told you he was colourblind) and picked out this ghastly check green thing .I said we're going to a do, not grouse shooting .Honestly all he would have needed was a tammy and he would have liked something out of Monarch of the Glen .
So we came home with nothing .
Going to look in Lowestoft tomorrow when I pick up my posh frock .
Lovely weather though ,glorious and we had some chips on the market in the sunshine .
Safe journeys for the boys and your sis Woofy.

Men eh? Our friends gave Mr N a pink and white striped polo shirt, very nice, but he teamed it with red shorts on Sunday, I said no way, he couldn't quite see why not, but listened to me, and he is not coloured blind!!
Storming here. Beef stew and dumplings. Delicious. Need to find some socks quite chilly.
lovely day in Salisbury inspecting the Magna Carta - their version is beautiful (some of the others are very ravaged, I think there are only four or five) and they photographed it in such high res you can see a little seed pod that's got stuck to one of the tiny letters.

More than I can say for Greece, where it rained almost every day except the last (as Accu said it would), which is rather disappointing for September. Never mind, we saw monasteries at Meteora and the tomb of Alexander the Great's father.

Came home to a phone message saying I can have a heap op next week, so will have to call and accept (and get OH to cancel stuff so I can be driven home, as it involves a general anaesthetic). I hope everyone else is sitting pretty.

Welcome back Jno .
Sounds as if you visited some interesting places in spite of the weather. We're all sitting pretty and I'm sure you will be too after the op.
Welcome back jno.
Yes we are having the thunderstorms here now.
Hija still out and although she texts me regularly I worry and can't sleep.
Morning. Was peeing down but stopped now.
Morning all. Not been around lately. Had a new lap top for my birthday. Windows 8.1 so have been busy learning all about it. I can download 10 but have to get used to 8.1 I think first. I have 'worn out' visa on my old one.
Glad you had a great time with your Sis Woofy. It must be great having her there different times in the year. Neti and Robi enjoy your visitors from afar and Jno sorry the weather in Greece wasn't so good but at least you got away from it all. It's only just clicked with me what your op is for.
Shaney I have the dress I bought for the wedding I missed in August. Heaven knows when I'll get to wear it. Just hope it stays in fashion for next Summer.
Yesterday I got to Tai Chi for the first time since I was laid up. Enjoyable morning and my 2 friends I lunch with treated me for my Birthday.
Off now to do some housework. Think I get a coffee first. Then school this afternoon. Laters Gaters!
Morning...bright 'n breezy here. Not me, I didn't sleep very well, so I'm on auto pilot ...zzzzzzzzzzzz

Welcome back jno, shame about the rain. If the forecasts are to be believed October's going to be fairly ok here, not too cold. Hope the op goes well, none of us wants a pain in the....

Don't forget the tiara shop while you're out and about shaney, you must be due a new one.

Jude my sis tells me I should get a lap top so I can do away with all this clutter in the corner, not to mention the five miles of spaghetti (cables) behind it.
Jude. Win 8 is horrible and win 10 much nicer, I would dump win 8 as soon as you can.
Shughy's latest problem is bad dreams, yes really, he wakes up scared and licks his paw to comfort himself so he now has a sore spot on his paw sooooo we are back on the melatonin, well not me, just the dogs. They get it all through november anyway so we are just starting early. I don't bother with posh clothes, nowhere to wear them.
I've changed to win 10, but when I had my laptop repaired a couple of weeks ago, he put some things from win 7 on it, so am totally confused now, it took me YEARS to get to grips with win 8, I even phoned sony to have xp put on and they promised me that I would eventually like it!

Having a new phone, daughter was looking forward to having my old (5 month) one so I did a factory restore and promptly buggered it all up, impossible to use, it just kept shouting out in a foreign language even when off. Took it in the shop and man said yes no prob and 15€. Ha, he admitted he couldn't do it. said it must be the motherboard and charged me 15€ anyway, so was left with this useless piece of shouting junk: I hate being beaten so I have spent the last 2 and a half hours with laptop, new phone and old phone and have finally got it all up and running perfectly, I am amazed at myself and so happy as I felt guilty for hija not getting it. It has stopped shouting at all and sundry (that was talkback, and it doesn't anymore!) Am just so delighted.

We are waiting for Mr N's van to be repaired as have to go in convoy to collect it. As I was tired he didn't mention it this am and walked back miles from the garage instead ofg m driving him. It's a horrible walk, on the main San Carlos road with no pavement on either side, really dangerous. Still I am here and will go with him this time. Hija is going out again tonight, she was partying for 32 hrs that is hardcore, and came home at 5am, which is why I did not get much sleep last night. I got up at 3am to make a coffee which is something I NEVER normally do. Hopefully have a good night sleep tonight.
