Lol, first map is brilliant.
I'm right there with you, dave! I sometimes settle down with a 1-inch OS map, just as some would read a magazine. Don't buy me a satnav for Christmas, because I'd rather use a map!
I spend a bit of time on Bing Maps,
the 'Birds Eye View' is great, and using the arrows in top right corner
you can view places from about 45° vertically and spin them 360° around.
A map showing where to find redheads!...I love it.....x
you can pretty much find out what the most popular surname is in your street
