Outlook On Android

Since the forced change from Hotmail to Outlook, I've had no problems on the lap top, but on my Samsung Galaxy phone, I am constantly being asked to log in. This can take half an hour or more as it rejects the passwords, validation etc. before letting me in.
Is anyone else having a similar problem and, more urgently, does anyone know why it's happening and what I can do about it! The Hotmail was no problem.
