I run XP on my PC and Windows 7 on my laptop. On the laptop I have on unwanted browser which has inserted itself when I installed a cnet youtube reader. I know how to change this on XP (Tools/Internet Options/General/and enter what I want and OK) but there is no 'Tools' in W7. so how do I change my homepage please? A subsequent question is that it is made more difficult by the fact that I have to do this on the laptop in German, so even if I come across 'Internet options' I might not recognise it. Anyone know what it is referred to in German?

Seems to be a lot of confusion in your post.
You don't have an unwanted browser, you have an unwanted Home Page.
What options are available depends on what browser you are using, not what OS you are using.
In Internet Explorer 9 and 10, there is a little cog-wheel icon at top right. If you hover over it, you'll see that it says "Tools"
Click it and select Internet Options

Thanks rojash; That works, and for the record; Internet Options in German is (would you believe) 'internetoptionen'.
