I have just acquired a Doro PhoneEasy mobile with an o2 sim card. But I cannot figure out how to top it up. And I don't know how to get a number. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
thank you, headwreck, but it seems i have to have an existing mobile number first. since this is a brnd new phone, i don't have a number. how do i get one?
the phone should tell you your number . phone someone you know and the number should come up on their phone. the sim should have a number assigned to it . to top up go to most shops and buy a pay as you go top up voucher for orange and then phone 150 and follow the instructions. Orange and t mobile are now called EE
Sorry thought it said orange but the last reply i gave should cover you. If you go to 02/contact us then they also do live chat with a call centre person.
right, i've tried that. i am getting nowhere. 100 just transfers me to the top-up line. i follow the instructions and nothing happens. i am starting to get very pi**ed off ...
As it's a brand new phone why not complain to the place you bought it from, because they should have supplied you with all the info you need, including the phone number assigned to the sim.
The phone number isn't normally on the SIM, just the SIM serial number.
If it's causing you this much grief just buy a new o2 sim, they are only a couple of quid and are available at loads of shops.... or if you're in no rush request a free one from o2

Though I'm still at a loss to understand how you've got a brand new phone with none of the details associated with it.
You can find out your mobile number by calling someone with caller display and reading it off their display.
The handset number is usually on the handset under the battery.
You can top up O2 phones in a number of ways. Easy enough to go buy a voucher at any shop that sells them. Dial 4444 and enter the 16 digit number on the till roll.
