Hi, I've not made moussaka for an age, and my vegetarian hubby is very fond of aubergines but hates egg. Now I love an eggy topping but he does not - does anyone have a recommendation for a suitable (eggless) vegetarian topping please? I will make the main body of the dish with lentils and a spicy tomato sauce but am unsure as to how to handle the white sauce and topping. If possible, not too high in fat as I am taking medication after a small heart attack and should keep the saturated fat down. Thanks!

Thanks all - follyfancier, that sounds good, hubby loves his Greek yoghurt!
Yoghurt appears to be suggested in a number or recipes. Here is one of those:-
