My wireless modem broke down and Virgin Media told me to use a wired connection for a few days.
The new Super Hub arrived today with clear fitting instructions and it is now "up and running".
The guide booklet states that it is the fastest ever wireless connection and is capable of more than 100Mbps (12x faster than the UK average).
Further details are available at virginmedia.com/superhub.
(PS I am posting the above statement in case it may be of interest to computer users requiring a faster connection. I am not an employee of Virgin Media, nor have they asked me to recommend it.)

We get our Free upgrade sometime this month :)
It is only capable of that speed if you subscribe to the 100mbps package (which I do). You may not get those speeds even if you have subscribed.
Note those speeds are only on Virgin media CABLE connections.

I got my superhub about a year ago.

I have VM cable, and pay for 30 Mbps, but recently got upgraded by VM to 60 Mbps for free.

Generally whet VM say you should get you do get as the signal does not degrade the further you are from the exchange (like on an ADSL line)

Virgin cable doesn't use the exchange at all!
