I have just had a new hard drive put in my new laptop as it was giving me problems. It has come back totally different and now I cant get the old IE page where at the top it said tools, edit etc. Please can someone tell me how to find it. I chose IE from the browser options but it said it was already installed so why is it different? I dont want to go back to the shop again because it is working more efficiently and this is really not their problem.
I hope someone can hp Thank you

Go to the top of the screen, right hand click and select the toolbars you want to show.............
Without knowing your OS I think you now have IE9 installed as it is an update in Vista and Windows 7. If you go to to All Programs in the Control Panel and open it up and then click on installed updates and scroll down through them and see if it is there you can unistall it from there and go back to IE8 your previous browser an when it comes up again for an upgrade rh click on it and click hide it to stop from installing again.

Thanks both "simples" eh? Easy when you know how.
You dont have to go back to IE8 to get the file, edit toolbar back.

As has been said, just select "Menu Bar" from the list of toolbars (select Tools then Toolbars), or right click on the grey area at the top and select Menu Bar.
btw IE9 is a much more secure browser than IE8 so you are best staying on that.
