Midweek and it's still raining. It's easing off so it may be dry by the time I want to go out. yeah, right!

Have a happy day everyone.

morning ttfn
Good morning DrF - nice to see you again. Any warmer in your part of the world?
Question Author
Morning ttfn ♥ I'm fine thanks. Going a bit rusty, I can always pretend it's suntan. :-) How are you?

Morning DF.
Fair to muddling but still smiling thank you. Hoping yesterday's promised sun may arrive on the slow train sometime today.

That'd be nice! Even the ducks are wearing wellies and carrying brollies.
good morning everyone x

Dry here at the moment. Had great news last night, younger son has been offered (and accepted) a full time job starting on Monday.
morning albaqwerty that is good news
Question Author
Morning alba. That is good news! please give him my congratulations. What will he be doing?
I will do wbm and many thanks.

His work experience over the past few weeks has been in an abbattoir ranging from packing meat and head-butting carcases :) He's enjoying it and the company of his work-mates. He will also be trained in cutting and preparing the meat.
Morning all from a drizzly damp Sussex. Congrats to your son alba
Question Author
A very good and necessary job. A good cutter is always in demand. You won't go short of meat! :-)

Morning janbee. Looking out into the gloom I do believe it's stopped raining! I won't open the champagne just yet though!
morning janbee
morning dr f. How are you?
morning jan

I'm glad we're not vegetarians!! It's not for lack of trying to ask him to bring home samples. :D

At least by breaking open the champagne, it';s better to be wet inside than on the out....
don't ask hoping to get out to the shop today
Question Author
Very true alba. That's the kind of 'wet' I don't mind. i have a very good South African Chenin blanc in the fridge, I shall enjoy a glass or six while I'm cooking lunch. :-)
wbm we'll be gate-crashing you at lunchtime purely to volunteer you understand :)

DrF, may I suggest that you only go out if you really have to. it's not fun when you're feeling unwell.
