Hi, how does one remove something that isn't on the add or remove list??? I have been trying to remove a programme by right clicking and pressing "Remove" and it just comes up saying I must go to the "add/remove" site, but it isn't listed there !. Any ideas??

Go to Start, All programs and find your program. It might have a selectable uninstall option. If not, search for a file call uninstall*.* in c:\Program Files then the name of the program (it should have it's own folder).

Click on Search on the bottom left corner. Click... For files and folders. All files and folders and then type in all, or part of the file you are looking for. Then right click on the file(s) you are wanting to get rid of and press delete. I hope that helps. Good luck

If you can be more specific, you'll get better answers - are you using Windows XP, Vista, 7, Mac OS/X or what?
What is it you're trying to remove?
Find the correct directory of the program you want to remove, and see whether there is an uninstall .exe there. Double click it to remove.

Hi bestdriver....Have done that. I have found 13 entries for "Registry Patrol". I was conned into having registry patrol like a lot of other people, and this lot is probably slowing down my computer..Before I delete them all, could the words "registry patrol" be a part of the computer system, as I don't want to muck everything up! Cheers, John
Download and run freeware program malwarebytes. It's mentioned here on another "registry patrol" thread.
