I keep losing the hole in the lawn, where the rotary drier goes. Grass gets long, then lays over it. Any ideas on something I could use to keep it visible ? Lots of foxes around so nothing they can pull out. They took my dog's ping pong ball yesterday ..

I put a big stone over mine - you can move it when you mow the lawn, but a stone stops it filling up with rain, too.
Something green, so you can frequently trip over it to remind you!
I stick a yardbrush in mine.
A bit of garden maintenance...cut the grass..?
As long as thats the only hole you can`t find, lol.
I just put a broom handle in there................no problems!.................
Get a gnome to stand guard! (Hate the blooming things!)
Get a tumble drier. Forget the hole.
I put a small stick in mine. but even if that gets removed, when we put in the hole in the first place I made sure we aligned it carefully so that it's coordinates aligned exactly level with a certain fence post in one direction and the edge of house window on the other. So even if the grass does grow over it, I just put myself on the lawn at the junction of these two coordinates and start foraging
